Leliana Armour WIP 6 by Xavietta Leliana Armour WIP 6 by Xavietta
I'm so glad this part of the costume is done!!

This is a close up pic of the scale armour for Leliana, made from "large" aluminum scales from The Ring Lord, it took about 8-10 hours a day for 3 days. It weighs about 9 pounds, and the support straps are only about an inch wide, so I have to widen them and probably add some padding...it doesn't sound like a lot, but it gets HEAVY after a while lol

I'm also working on the daggers, then up next is probably the bow/arrows/quiver...pix whenever they're more interesting to look at lol

I just did a Sebastian Vael cosplay using Large scales and I spent MONTHS doing it. I did take breaks to move and have a life. But my fingers are STILL grey from working with them. It took forever because I used Stainless steal Split Rings. Oi Vae. It'll hold forever, but never again!!

Scale mail is easily one of the coolest types of armor ever. Nice work!
