Cloak of Winterfell by Xavietta Cloak of Winterfell by Xavietta
This. This has been my obsession for the past 2 weeks. AND I LOVES IT! I get all giddy when I wear it and want to run around telling people winter is coming.

But alas, I'm am in debt because of it and hope it finds a good home...so I can make another one!

Made from a linen/rayon blend with a cotton/poly lining and a full coyote hide (minus the feet). The fur is attached with 3 magnetic snaps so it can be removed should the cloak need cleaning.

Currently for sale here [link]

I have been searching magnetic snaps and they look cheap or are for purses, are they really strong enough to hold the fur on while moving around?

Hi there! This is absolutely amazing! So here's the low down, my partner looks almost exactly like Robb Stark and I wanted to make him Robb's cloak for a special occasion, and so I was wondering if you could give me some tops on how to make something as amazing as this!

Thank you!

Is that a wolf or a coyote? I'm at the "Gem Show" in Arizona right now and most of the people who have fur are selling whole wolves for around 600$ Ouch. How much are you charging for these? I love all your stuff. You are super awesome sauce :)

This is awesome!
If you don't mind me asking, what shape does the cloak itself have? Is is like a half-circle or...? (Sorry for the stupid question, I have absolutely 0% knowledge of any costume making xD )

Thank you! I suppose it's sort of a trapezoid. The bottom hem measures at least 5 yards, and the top hem measures about 1 yard and is gathered. Totally not a stupid question :) some fuller cloaks are a half circle, but this one would weight about 20 pounds if I made it that full haha

I'm working on a couple of stark inspired cloaks right now and I've been trying to figure out how to attach the pelts to the cloak itself. The magnetic snaps are a great idea! Seems like it'd be a lot easier than sewing them on!

They've got metal prongs that pierce through the material.

heh, no and it might be a tad on the warm side... I want to make up some stuff and do a photo shoot up here maybe this winter, and as I live in Alberta Canada, that does make sense, cause damnit, Albertas slogan should actually be "Winter is Coming"

Thanks! Yes, I didn't want to pay $500 for a wolf pelt and a friend suggested coyote. Looks like a wolf, but not nearly as expensive.
